For 30+ years, there has been a lot of talk about change management. What does that really mean? What are the lies about change management that’s been convenient to believe, while doing massive damage to trust?
Most organizations can have strong focus on the implementation and mechanics of business. However, in the mechanics of business there is a tendency to at least minimize or completely overlook our people. Sure, we give lip service that “our people are our greatest asset,” but that’s often more rhetoric than practicality. The paradox is that if we are going to continue to innovate, drive new products and services, and have those things be the engine for driving our new economies, then developing people is not optional!
That being said, it can be challenging for some to make the connection between growing your people and growing the bottom line. If Trust, Respect and Safety are genuinely important in your corporate culture, are you willing to test and measure if those things are actually part of your culture, and if you are, how can you do that?
Well, let’s find out because that is exactly where we are going. Our guest is today is Esther Weinberg.
